Emails, privacy and unsubscribing

What we collect when you open Rate Pulse, what we email you, how the Monday update works, and how to unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.

When you open Rate Pulse we keep your work email, and your role and company if you give them. We use it to email you your link, to send the Monday update only if you ticked the box and confirmed it, and to get in touch about our consulting if it looks relevant to your business. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell or share your details.

  1. Unsubscribe from any email

Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom. The page confirms: "Done. You won't get any more emails from us."

  2. Confirm the Monday update

If you ticked "Email me a short update every Monday", click the confirm link in your welcome email. The page says "Thanks, you're on the Monday update."

  3. Ask us to delete your details

Email privacy@dayrunner.co.nz. You can do this any time.

What we collect

  • your work email
  • your role and company, if you fill them in
  • which city page you were on
  • the brand in the link, if there was one
  • where you came from: the referring site and any campaign tags

What we don't collect

The dashboards themselves use no personal data. They're built from public car-hire search results, the customer ratings shown on rentalcars.com, public holiday calendars and public event listings. We don't collect reviewers' names or the text of their reviews.

dayrunner.co.nz doesn't use cookies or tracking scripts. Our host keeps standard server logs. Your browser does remember that you've opened the dashboards and which currency you picked, so you aren't asked again.

The Monday update

It's opt-in. The box starts unticked, and you get full access to the dashboards without it. Ticking it isn't enough on its own: you confirm it from the email we send. That's double opt-in.

Campervan and hostel waitlists

If you email us to hear when campervan or hostel rates are ready, we keep your email address and what you asked for, use it only for that, and delete it if you ask.

Your rights

We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at privacy@dayrunner.co.nz. If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

The full policy is on the privacy page.
