Rate Pulse for car hire operators at several airports

For operators running stations at several airports. Compare your price position and ratings across cities on one method, free.

Operators with stations at several airports need to know where they're priced well and where they're not, without a separate analyst per city. Rate Pulse runs the same method at all 18 airports with data, so your price vs market at one airport compares directly with another. Open each city, read your row, and you've got your network on one page of notes.

What you're up against

  • Different currencies. Euros, pounds, Australian dollars and baht don't line up at a glance.
  • Different methods. Local teams check rates their own way, on different hire lengths and dates, so their reports don't compare.
  • No one watching every station. The station that drifted 30% over market goes unnoticed until bookings drop.

The views that help

The Rate Pulse index at /rates/ shows every airport's typical compact rate, cheapest and dearest pick-up day and top-rated brand.

The currency picker on each airport page. Set NZD, USD, EUR, GBP or AUD and keep it the same across cities.

Every brand, ranked by customers. Your rank, rating and price vs market at each airport.

Benchmark your rates for the stations that look off.

A worked example: one brand, five airports

Here's Sixt in the Rate Pulse sweep of 7 Nov 2026, read from each airport's brand table.

AirportPrice vs marketRatingRank
Munichin line7.94
Paris CDG+8%8.11
Madrid+17%8.31
Amsterdam+29%8.62
Rome+97%8.23

If you ran pricing for those five stations, Rome is the one to look at. Nearly double the market median, and not the best-rated brand there. At Madrid and Paris, a premium comes with the top rating. At Munich, the brand sits at market and ranks fourth.

The question for Rome: is that premium deliberate, for a product the market doesn't offer, or did it drift? Run Benchmark your rates for Rome and see which car types and days carry the gap.

Price vs market compares like with like, the same car type on the same pick-up day. So a station that only lists big cars doesn't look dear just because of its mix.

Keep it honest

It's one 14-day window, refreshed daily, with no history yet. A one-off reading can mislead. Check the same stations on the same weekday for a few weeks before you move a network rate.

When you want this tied to bookings at every station, that's consulting work.
