Major events in 2027 at the Rate Pulse airports

These are the big dated events for 2027, plus late-2026 events still ahead, in or near the 38 cities Rate Pulse covers. Each date was checked on an official or organiser page on 6 and 7 November 2026. For car hire operators they're the pick-up days where demand jumps, the cheap end of the market sells out first, and a flat rate leaves money on the table.

Anything without a confirmed date is left out. Dates do move, so check the source again before you set rates.

Airport codes link to the Rate Pulse dashboard where that airport has data today. The rest show "rates coming" until their first sweep.

How to use this

1. Find your airport and list the pick-up days. Visitors arrive one or two days before an event and leave the day after. A Saturday final means Thursday and Friday pick-ups.
2. Check what the market does on those days. Your airport page shows median and cheapest rates by pick-up day for the next 14 days. A big event shows as a spike, usually in the cheaper categories first.
3. Price the window before it reaches 14 days out. Most event demand books early. The guide on pricing car hire for events covers the uplift, minimum rental length and how to stop over-selling.
4. Know the pattern. The event demand surge entry explains why multi-day trade fairs behave differently from a one-night concert.

Say you run 60 cars at Munich. Oktoberfest runs for 16 days. A trade fair like BAU runs five days, Monday to Friday, and most visitors are there on business. Those are two different pricing jobs, even in the same city. (The fleet size is hypothetical.)

Europe

Munich and Frankfurt are the trade fair cities. Those fairs are midweek, business-heavy and short-hire. Nice airport serves the whole Riviera, so it picks up Cannes and Monaco as well as Nice itself. Faro serves Portimão, about an hour west.

North America

Las Vegas has four entries and all of them are big. CES and NAB are business crowds at the convention centre, and the Grand Prix runs on the Strip itself. Miami has three in five months.

Latin America

The Women's World Cup runs from 24 June to 25 July 2027 across eight Brazilian cities. São Paulo also hosts a quarter-final, a semi-final and the bronze final, on dates FIFA hasn't tied to the venue on the page we checked. The Lima date comes from NORCECA, a regional volleyball body, reporting the Panam Sports decision. The Games' own site didn't load for us.

Asia Pacific

The Rugby World Cup runs from 1 October to 13 November 2027 across Australia. Stadium Australia also has the semi-finals and the bronze final, and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane each get a round-of-16 match. World Rugby's schedule article doesn't give those dates by venue, so they're not in the table. For more New Zealand detail, see NZ events and rental demand.

What we left out

• Events without a confirmed date. That includes the 2027 Melbourne Cup, the Ekka in Brisbane, Primavera Sound and Festival Estéreo Picnic, whose official pages didn't show 2027 dates when we checked. The 2027 US Open page didn't load.
• Events already past. The 2026 Melbourne Cup, Amsterdam Dance Event and the São Paulo Grand Prix weekend that started on 6 November.
• Cities with nothing that met the bar yet: Bangkok, Bali, Palma, Málaga, Rome, New York, Denver, Cancún and Bogotá.
• Attendance guesses. Where the organiser doesn't publish a number, the table says "not stated".

The Foo Fighters dates are from 1News, a national news site, because the band's own tour page didn't load. Several other outlets reported the same dates.
