The 5pm job
- Which driver and which van on each run, without anyone going over their hours
- Pickup order and times across a dozen hotels
- Every passenger needs their pickup time the night before
- A driver off sick before the first run
- Keeping a record of work time and kilometres
We estimate the evening plan takes 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes a day by hand.
What DayRunner does
- Reads tomorrow's bookings from Rezdy, FareHarbor or a CSV (integrations)
- Puts a driver and vehicle on every run by licence class, P endorsement, seats and availability (plan the day)
- Counts each driver's work time for the day, pickup run included, and flags breaches of the NZ work time rules (work-time rules)
- Sequences pickups in your stop order with times, on a run sheet each driver can read on their phone (run sheets)
- Drafts every passenger's pickup message for approval (guest messages)
- Keeps planned kilometres and work time per driver
Nothing sends until you approve it.
How it works

Pickup messages and driver briefs. Read them, fix what you like, approve.
We set it up. You don't.

Questions
Does it check driver work time rules?
Yes. It counts each driver's work time for the day, including the pickup run, and flags anyone the plan would put over their limit under the Land Transport Rule: Work Time and Logbooks 2007, or over the maximum hours you set.
What happens when a driver calls in sick?
Tap Report a problem, then Driver off sick, and pick the driver. DayRunner shows every run that breaks and the two best fixes in seconds. Nothing changes until you apply one.
