Continuous rest (10 hours)

Continuous rest is the 10 hours off a NZ driver needs after a cumulative work day before the next one can start.

Continuous rest is the unbroken time off a driver has between work days. NZ rules require at least 10 hours of it after a cumulative work day. A driver who finished at 9pm can't legally start a 6:45 run with 15 minutes' prep.
