Licence class
A licence class is the type of vehicle a NZ driver licence covers, from class 1 (car) to class 6 (motorcycle).
A licence class is the type of vehicle a New Zealand driver licence lets someone drive. Class 1 is a car licence and class 2 covers medium rigid vehicles; the heavier classes follow. A driver who only holds class 1 can't take a vehicle that needs class 2, so the van and the driver have to be planned together.
