Exceptions: Decide before the day

What each item on the Decide before the day list means, the usual fix, and how to close it off. Plus what the Allocation tags mean.

After you plan, Decide before the day lists what DayRunner couldn't solve, or what breaks a rule. Each item has a short explanation and options. Red items (DECIDE) hold that departure's guest messages until you sort them. Amber items (CHECK) are worth a look.

Closing one off

Some options are buttons. They re-plan, open the allocation to change, or take you to the message. Others are things to do yourself, like ringing a casual. Once it's sorted, either:

  • press Re-plan the day, which clears exceptions that no longer apply, or
  • click Resolved to hide it. Re-planning keeps it resolved.

If the exception was holding guest messages, open Guest messages and click Release hold on each one.

Allocation tags

In the Allocation table: READY means fine, CHECK means read the note, DECIDE means it's on the decisions list, and LOCKED means you set it by hand.
