Is there one national list of NZ cruise ship visits?
The New Zealand Cruise Association schedule covers the season across ports, but it says its timings are indicative only. Use each port's own schedule for the times you plan around.

The official schedule for every main NZ cruise port in one list, and what to plan for when a ship is in.

Each NZ cruise port publishes its own ship schedule. The list below links to the official page for each one, so you're always reading the port's current version. On a cruise day hundreds or thousands of extra visitors arrive at once, mostly in daylight, with a fixed time to be back on board. That changes pickups, traffic and how much slack your day needs.
We don't copy the schedules here. They change through the season, and we haven't seen terms from the ports that let others republish them. Links were checked on 20 October 2026.

The New Zealand Cruise Association schedule shows the whole season across ports. It says its times are indicative only and to use each port's schedule for actual arrival and departure.
Go through the schedule for your port at the start of the season and mark every ship day. Then recheck it weekly. Ships get added, swapped and cancelled, and a berth change moves your pickup point.
Two ships on one day matters more than one big one. So does a cruise day that lands on a long weekend or in the school holidays. Our holidays guide has those dates.
The listed arrival isn't when guests are ready. Ports of Auckland lists the time the pilot boards. After that the ship berths, clears and starts letting people off. At tender ports like Akaroa and the Bay of Islands, guests come ashore by boat, which takes longer and can stop in rough weather.
Plan your first pickup with a buffer after the listed arrival, and confirm the meeting point the day before.
Cruise guests have a hard deadline: the ship leaves without them. Work back from the all-aboard time the guest gives you, not the listed departure, and leave room for traffic near the wharf. If a run is late, that's the one guest you can't drop off tomorrow instead.
On a big ship day, expect more coaches, more taxis and more pedestrians around the port and the main sights. Allow more time for town pickups that aren't even cruise bookings.
A cruise day can need every driver and van you have, with very little left over. That's when one driver off sick hurts most. Know who your backup is before the ship arrives, not after.
Ships skip ports in bad weather, especially tender ports. Decide in advance how you'll handle a cancelled call: your refund terms, and how you'll tell guests.
DayRunner plans tomorrow's runs across your drivers and vans and flags any run that won't fit before the day starts. Plan the day shows how it allocates a busy day. Driver off sick shows how it lists every run that breaks, and the two best fixes, when someone drops out on the morning of a ship day.

The ports publish and update their own schedules, and ships change. Copying them would go stale. We link to the source so you always see the current version.
Later than the listed arrival. Ports of Auckland, for example, lists arrival as the time the pilot boards. Allow for berthing, clearance and, at tender ports, the boat ride in.
