Getting started with DayRunner

Create a workspace, work through the six-step checklist and plan your first day. Or send us your lists and we set it up for you.

DayRunner plans tomorrow for you: which van, which driver, the pickup run, every guest message, every supplier confirmation and the driver briefs. You check it and approve it. Nothing is sent until you do.

The quickest way in

On a pilot you don't have to set anything up yourself. Send us your fleet list, your drivers and last week's bookings. A spreadsheet or an export from your booking system is fine. We'll have tomorrow planned within 24 hours. Email support@dayrunner.co.nz, or book a demo first.

Doing it yourself

  1. Create a workspace

Go to app.dayrunner.co.nz, click Create a workspace, fill in Operator name, Email and Password (at least 8 characters), then click Create workspace.

  2. Confirm your email

Open the link we send you. It brings you back signed in. It works once and expires after 24 hours.

  3. Work through the checklist

The Day page shows Get your first day planned with six steps. Ticks fill in by themselves.

  4. Plan the day

Once tomorrow's bookings are in, press Plan the day, sort anything flagged and approve the messages.

The six checklist steps

  1. Company and timezone. Check your details in Setup and click Save. The timezone decides what "tomorrow" means.
  2. Add your vehicles. Click Import vehicles, or add them by hand in Setup.
  3. Add drivers and guides. Click Import drivers, or add them by hand.
  4. Products and pickup stops. Click Import products, then set your Pickup stop order in Setup.
  5. Import tomorrow's bookings. A CSV or Excel export, an itinerary, or a connected booking system.
  6. Plan and approve tomorrow. Press Plan the day, sort anything flagged, approve the messages.

Click Hide for now to tuck the checklist away.

Just want to look around?

In Setup, click Load the sample operator (Remarkables Day Tours). It adds a made-up Queenstown operation with bookings for tomorrow. Then go to Day and press Plan the day.

Use a separate workspace for your real operation. Sample rows have to be removed by hand.

The tour

The first time you open the Day page, a short tour points out the main parts. Replay it any time from Get help, then Take the Day page tour.

Tomorrow, sorted by 5pm.

Show us tomorrow in your booking system. We'll show you the same day in DayRunner.
